Included with the invisibleSHIELDs was an “installation squeegee”, some SHIELDspray, very detailed instructions and the lifetime replacement warranty information. All of this was inside a cardboard tube.
The HP Mini 311 invisibleSHIELD option is only “standard coverage”, which means there is a SHIELD for the top lid, the touchpad, touchpad buttons and wrist rests. The HP Mini 210 has the “full coverage” which gives it the same protection in addition to the bottom.
I will have to say I was worried at first about installing the screens, but the instructions that ZAGG provides and the installation process they use was nearly flawless. Basically the SHIELDspray is used to put the invisibleSHIELD screens in place onto the device and the squeegee is used to remove the bubbles that form.
I only had two VERY small bubbles that I could not remove, but they aren’t that noticeable anyways.
The invisibleSHIELD has actually made my HP Mini 311 more sleek, shiny and cleaner looking than before. I honestly can’t even tell that it’s there.
I don’t do intense testing like ZAGG does, but I can say that after more than a week of using my HP Mini 311 with the invisibleSHIELD it is definitely much more protected from scratches than without it.
I think there will be mixed feelings about the protector on the touchpad. Some have said that it makes the touchpad easier to use, others have said more difficult. Personally for me it has made the touchpad easier to use.
It’s definitely more pricey than other skin shields–something to take into account–but I believe its worth 100% of the cost considering the benefits listed below that stood out to me:
