It appears that the HP Mini 110 Mi Edition, which comes with HP’s own Linux distro, has been removed from the available options of HP Mini’s at HP Home & Home Office Store. Meaning that you can no longer purchase the Mini 110 with Mi Linux.

Peter at Netbooked was careful to observe that HP has removed the Mi Edition from the available list of Mini’s at This “axing” (I have to say that since it matches the post picture) comes as HP has switched some of the Operating System options over to Windows 7.

No worries, the HP Mini 110 series is still available, with either XP or Windows 7 Starter.

How will this affect you? It won’t really affect you much, even if you have an HP Mini 110 Mi Edition. You can still use (and even download) Mi Linux. Worst case scenario is that HP closes support for the Linux and a switch to XP, Windows 7 or Mac OS X is a must. But that is not likely.
