Flextronics is a product manufacturing company that, according to Digitimes, has received an order from HP to produce 2 million netbooks for 2010.
Digitimes also says that while the industries average price of a netbook unit is around $70, HP will be mass producing units with Flextronics for around $45 each. That is a huge difference in pricing, and hopefully HP will give that price advantage to the consumers.
Liliputing also reports that HP will be saving around $50 million. Not a bad deal for HP.
Could this mean a new netbook model coming out in 2010? I think its very likely…
