The Smartphones are evolving to be larger as laptops are evolving to be more compact, lighter and sleeker too like their smaller mobile counterparts. That’s what HP laptops are gradually turned out to be. And these most recently launched HP laptops are what reinforce the evolution taking place in the mobile gadgets, in laptops. These are Ultrabooks and ‘Sleekbooks’ that HP has chosen to call its lightweight, sleep range of laptops.
The high-end series of lightweight HP laptops are perfect for many of us who are reluctant to bear the discomfort on their wrist while carrying around their notebooks everywhere – from Starbucks to boardroom. The three ranges of HP ultrabooks are 13.3-inch Envy Spectre XT (the best of the series), HP Envy 14 Spectre and the new Envy Spectre XT does with a remarkable thickness (on thinness?) of only 14.5 mm thick. HP has also launched two larger variations of HP Envy ultrabooks that are available in 14-inch and 15.6-inch models.
Along with Ultrabooks, HP has brought two new interesting ranges of sleek laptops that are ‘Sleekbooks’. HP has chosen to call these two ranges of HP laptops as ‘Sleekbooks’ because these two devices are not Ultrabooks, rather lightweight notebooks.
Unlike Ultrabooks, these two ‘Sleekbooks’ will not be powered by Intel processors, but by AMD processors. And later range of HP laptops do not include features that come packed with Intel such as Rapid Start, Smart Response, Identity Protection Technology, and Smart Connect Technologies. Despite major differences in processor technology, there are some common features of HP Sleekbooks and Ultrabooks that are built-in Beats Audio having dual speakers with a subwoofer, and supports Ethernet port, USB 2.0 and 3.0. The Sleekbooks are rated cheaper than Ultrabooks as well – so what will you chosee?
