Video Resolution

I have 2 HP minis...One is a 1035nr I got at best buy and the other is a custome 1000 XP.
They both have the same screen size and hence the same video card. My problem is that the 1035 shows a resolution of 1024 x 600. My other one has a 1024 x 576.
The resolution of 1024 x 576 is preventing me from installing certain software that requires resolution of ??? x 600. I dont understand how one mini could have ??? x 600 and the other doesnt since they both appear to have the same hardware. Ive updated both with the exact updates from Windows and HP.

Anyone have a suggestions?

look more closely...they probably are slightly different sizes. HP switched from the 10.2" 1024x600 to a 10.1" 1024x576.

By the way, the 1024x576 gives you trouble with programs which work on a 1024x600? Please tell me which ones. I am interested in the HP Mini 2140 which (so far) only comes with a 1024x576!!!

SO far they are HP programs.....a few for my HP media server and one for my HP C6180 printer

Handbrake also requires the 1024 x 600 resolution

Yeah I recently noticed this too because I found that the MIE wallpaper was the wrong resolution for my monitor.
