Hi, I upgraded both my 1030 and my partners non wwan 311, what I done was to install an upgrade of W7 Home Premium 32 bit on top of XP Home 32 bit (HP), which went through smoothly, when it restarted I made restore points before installing the necessary driversand then added the necessary drivers, which was just really the video and in my machine the wwan 3g gobi set-up. My partners machine for some reason was dreadfully slow on XP Home, much slower than my W7 1030 (which was sourced from a HP recovery disk). We noticed that the boot time was much better and the machines felt quicker, to be honest we both prefer W7, especially for video playback. All the drivers installed ok. Probably pays to have the extra 2gb installed, as suspect it would be a bit slow on the standard 1gb, also used Easeus to resize the partitions, turned off auto update, both machines stream well from my WHS2011 HP pro-liant mini server, hope this helps, make the upgrade it will be fine
