Speaker Phone Companion?

What the crap is it? Why cant I find it, Why cant I turn the dang thing off?!

System- HpMini 110-1030NR with XP.

The random phone ringing noise pops up every time I try to voice chat on yahoo. I click the little ringing phone icon on my task bar, and it goes away for a few minutes, then pops right back up!! I right clicked it, I left clicked it, I searched for the damn thing under the add/remove programs, I cant find the skype under that, so I'm thinking that's what it is. But how do I remove Skype if its not under the add/remove programs?

Bloatwear hurts my feelers :|

P.s. I did NOT download anything to my system but Yahoo messenger. The ringing phone icon thingy showed up after the first time I turned my system on. I ignored it figuring it was bloatwear I could get rid of....

This is part of a microphone enhancement to cut the sound from your speakers out of the microphone to avoid the echo effect. It launches every time you launch something with full duplex audio, I.E. voice chat software, or in my case team fortress classic with voice chat.

Take a look in the "Andrea Noise Cencellation (IDT)" in the Control Panel and there are two options:

1. Noise Cancellation (pure audio)
2. Acoustic Echo Cancellation (EchoStop)

deselect the second and the little icon should not return. Just thought I'd let you know
