"sleepimage has garbage" reboot loop after installing osx

i followed this guide (http://osxhpmini.info/os-x-install-guide/)

and everything seemed to be working fine, until i did two things:
1) Use the UInstaller app. to “Apply kext package” and “Install PC_EFI v9 Chameleon Edition 1.0.12”
2) Make the CPU fix from one core to two cores

Since I'm caught in a loop of death:
starting hibernate
sleepimage has garbage
hibernate failed
loading darwin

the gray screen comes on for a second then the computer reboots.

Can't seem to get in via safe mode or anything. AND, to make things worse, the flash drive i used seems to have been corrupted and won't let me erase it. Disk Utility says it "could not unmount"

argghh. ANy help is much appreciated.

BTW

I backed up the boot.plist file to the desktop, is there any way i can specify at boot-up using that file..?
