    Official Windows 7 lite from microsoft it is for real?

    I believe it turned out to be Windows 7 Starter. I've never used it, so I can't say how "lite" it is.

    I have used the "Starter" version on an ACER netbook. After upgrading the memory to 2gb it was a rather robust system.

    Downside is that you are very limited to making environmental changes as in you are stuck with the desktop background of their choosing and the Aero feature is disabled. If you want a non-changeable and very utilitarian OS then "Starter"s is efficient!

    Otherwise I would stick with 32-Bit Home Premium.
