After waiting for the last few weeks I can successfully announce that the 5101 is out in HK in Fortress stores. For HK$4998.
It was released today and I brought mine today.

HK$ 4998 would be equivalent to US$ 640 with an exchange rate of 7.8 to 1.

Could you tell us what is your config? Say: LED resolution, HDD, Ram and OS?

Hi there,
My HP 5101 has 1GB ram, 160GB drive and the HD screen 1366x768 (if i remember right)
I will upgrade the RAM today or tomorrow
And be trying every OS I can think of in the next few days :-)

My son bought one in Hong Kong recently for HKD 3980-. It is 1366X768 LCD, 160GB HDD and 1GB Ram with XP.

Apparently, HP mini 5101 is still not available in Canada.
