Mod'ing the HP Mini 1000 MobileMe port, now it's normal USB!

But I successfullly mod'd the MobileMe port to be a regular USB port -- not a huge mod, because it's already a normal USB port, I just had to make it so it wasn't recessed.

The only thing that sucks about that mod is the fact you just made your warranty void.

No disrespect intended sheeri, especially since I give you credit for having more courage than I in making this mod, but for people who get nervous performing "surgery" on their Mini, perhaps these are viable options.

You know you can do this without even damaging your notebook.. The plug for the USB mobile drive is a normal usb port, just shave down a usb plug and use a cable sticking out of it.
