Mini 1030nr display bezel

So i broke the display bezel when attempting to remove the bezel from the screen. I have had no luck in replacing the part. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to replace the part as HP has been of no help for me. The part # according to the service guide and the back of my bezel is 571310-001.

your talking about the the plastic panel on top pf the screen? is it infite view?

You could check ebay, I doubt they have it, or you could use small tiny amounts of superglue on the edges of the crack.

i literally broke pieces off the screen. i also cut up my fingers pretty bad. :-( i have the infinite view. not very happy at the moment. evidently i screwed it up. i may buy another hp with my employee discount, use the screen and part the laptop out. anyone need a motherboard? ;-)

I am sorry to hear abut your fingers and your screen. May I ask why you were trying to take off the bezel in the first place?

it will not show up on the hp parts site but i do know that you can call tech support and order it over the phone it will however set you back $90 (ouch)

i was attempting to perform the webcam mod that was posted in another forum. the one regarding taking off the piece of tinting that was making thew webcam dark.

if it is the clear part you broke don't worry, it looks better with it off, if it is the black bezel then you need to order another one,

You could probably buy just the display bezel.

unfortunately, you can not. I called HP twice and they were unable to order the part needed. I just went ahead and ordered the Mini MMIE edition. and made just to have the Bluetooth module added. it was 352 with tax and shipping. so i will most likely part out the donor machine. with the exception of the bluetooth and the Bezel.
