Hi,
could anybody tell me the meaning of the different colors of the LED for the WLAN Switch?
I understand blue is on, amber is off but what is purple (I get this when I am connected to my WLAN @home).

You're goes purple? I'm totally jealous. Mine just has the amber (disabled) and the blue (enabled).
That's why I am asking. I use OSX on the netbook but I guess this should not be the issue. Maybe it is an indicator if it is connected to 11b or 11g.
yea for some reason mine goes pink when connected to my network at home
All I know is, I wish they were less dim. They're annoying when you're trying to watch a movie. They're kind of overkill too.
I would agree. Those two LEDs blasting you in the face is rather bothersome when you're watching a movie in the dark. It's not too bad otherwise, but the little covers should be frosted or something so it diffuses the light a bit more. I wonder if a quick brush with some fine sandpaper would remedy that?
Interesting thing:
Yesterday the netbook went to sleep, woke up reconnected to the WLAN and stayed blue. I wonder if it really is an indicator if it
is b or g.
No such indicator to tell for B or G wireless. Blue for working. Orange for disabled. Pink when using OSX, this happens because both Orange and Blue LED's are on.

So I am guessing that these annoying LEDs cant be turned off?
I'm sure there has to be a way.
