Internet Explorer can't access Internet via wifi ?

Hi,

I know, there's a lot of questions like this on the web, and I've been googling like a fool. I still haven't found the answer to my question.

I have a Compaq Mini 700 (af) with the XP service pack 3 loaded. I have a mac mini, and I have a cable modem/wireless router. The mini 700 and the mac mini can see each other on the network, I can exchange files in both directions between them.

I have the XP firewall activated on the mini 700, even though it's behind the router. I disabled this and tried to access the internet via IE and still it wouldn't work. I downloaded an antivirus setup for windows to the mac mini, then installed it on the mini 700. The antivirus software, avast, appears to be able to connect to the internet to get updates. I've yet to do an ipconf/all from the mini 700 ( I only learnt about that, this a.m. and the 700 isn't with me at present).

I'm convinced this is an IE problem, but I can't find a concise parametring guide for my situation.

Once again the mini 700 is connected to my home wifi network.

Any ideas on this ?

Ooops. I badly configured the wireless connection! The repair connection function worked perfectly!
