    Installing RAM

    Hi guys,

I just got my RAM today (Patriot 2 GB DDR3 13333, model# PSD32G13332S), and I have no clue how to install it. I guess I'm just used to laptops where the RAM slot can lift up a bit so you can seat in the RAM. Am I just suppose to put the stick down and clip it between the two rods on the side and not try to push it downwards to seat it?

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Installing RAM

The ram goes into the slot at about 45degrees, you will see & feel it go in with very little pressure.
Then a gentle push down so it is flat and the clips at the edge engage.

The ram will only go in one way round due to the off centre cut out slot, so you can't put it in upside down.

Any mobile DDR3 RAM module running at higher than (but best equal to) 1066MHz should work without any problem.
