    Post HP Mini 110 Upgrades

Well here is what I want to do. First upgrade the Ram and hard drive to the MAX. What is the Max? i have hurd 2G is this true? Any advise is welcomed, down to the part number and website it was purchased. Second I want to download and install the MAC operating system and the Windows XP that comes with my Mini 110NR. Any advise on this. How do I abstract the Windows XP system from the Mini? I would like to start from scratch when I install the new hard drive?

It's a standard 2.5" Hard drive so you can have whatever the current max capacity drive is. About 750GB at the moment currently.

Does the millimeter thickness mean anything? A 1T and 750G are 12.5mm thick while a 640G are 9.5mm thick. I am just wondering. I am going to install the biggest! That will fit.

I take it you mean remove XP and start from scratch, I.E formating the drive... well if you're going to replace the HDD with a new one, then its going to be clean anyway and have no OS installed, so just put OSX onto that.

    ttray14:
I installed this ram into my compaq 110 and it works wonders:

you should be able to easily find it on ebay for much cheaper, I only paid $37 a few months ago.

I also recommend buying an 8GB SD card (Microsoft recommends 1.5 - 4x your RAM) and dedicating it to ReadyBoost. mine cost $30 at Best Buy.
    Total Cost: $67
I once saw an HP "Netbook Upgrade Kit" at Best Buy which was the same two items I just told you to get. Their package was $70 and you certainly weren't getting the quality of a produst by Kingston or SanDisk.

Hope I've helped, and thank you for the hard drive information guys!
