    HP 210 10.5.8 resolution help

    Hello All,
I currently have an HP 210 with .04F Bios 10.5.8. I am looking for a kext to get my resolution off of 800x600. I have tried everything out on the web I could find. I have wifi working and battery with no issues. Also, I am unable to get QE enabled. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been trying for the past week with no luck.

    Thank you in advance,
    J

I tried to upgrade the BIOS and then I downgraded and still no luck. I have been unable to get the DS patcher to work so I downloaded an aml off the web and thats how I was able to get to the 10.5.8. My system is running smoothly and does not hang and it actually runs smoother than the Windows 7. Also, I was able to dual boot OS X with no issues with Windows 7.

How do you managed it to get your Wifi to work?
I installed Mac OS X on my HP Mini 210-1018EG with iDeneb v1.6 10.5.8 Lite Edition.
Everything works just fine except the Wifi

Newbie here - what's "ami?" I, too, have installed 10.5.8 and the resolution's stuck at 800x640. Have you resolved that issue?

I did try to install iAtkeros 10.6.2 but no luck with the wireless so I installed ideneb 10.5.8. It seems that the wireless connection is a sore issue with Snow Leopard. If anyone has resolved that issue, I'd love to know how it was done for HP 210.

I struggled with the resolution issue, too but I found a tip in another topic that worked for me.

    Open terminal and type:

    defaults write -g AppleDisplayScaleFactor 0.8

If you want to change it back, reopen the terminal and type:

    defaults write -g AppleDisplayScaleFactor 1

Thanks to kw4n7um for this tip. You can adjust the factor number to meet your needs. At first I was afraid that the resolution would go back to its normal large size after reboot but it's stayed at its setting.
