Hard Drive Mounting Kit form HP

Just a heads up to anyone who might be thinking of buying the hard drive mounting kit for the 110. You will not get the FPC cable that the parts list says the kit comes with. I have three of the mounting kits sitting in front of me and will be shipping them back and contesting the charges on my credit card. I know I could recycle the cable that comes with the existing hard drive frame, but the catalogue says the kit comes with a cable so I,m sending them back. For the record that is three kits sent one after another after calling to tell them the kit is incomplete. At this point, I give up.

the 110 uses a SATA drive that connect directly to the motherboard there is no cable required.

Maybe not, but I think the point f the post was that if it says that it comes with such a cable then it bloody well should come with the cable.

    Thanks

the note in the 110 manual is an error "Each hard drive spare part kit and solid-state drive spare part kit includes a cable and bracket"...there is no cable...

the hard drive attaches directly to the SATA connector on the motherboard...the motherboard SATA connector is permanently attached to the motherboard, it does not come off...there is no cable required to connect the hard drive...

supplying a cable that is not used or part of the unit would be a great way to confuse people...
