I saw it was corrupted too, but not on the pc it came from, perhaps there is an attachment issue on the forums. This should work for you. updated original
for me tool doen't work even older tool with ion.ini doesn't work so i just tried to overclock without tool -> 2,2ghz stable =) its so awesome
old mainboard was stable til 1,85ghz but i bricked it and got new one -> far better
edit: tool does work -> tried out other version and it works !
OCed to 2,35 stable with OCTuner but at boot with bios 311c can only take 2,2ghz so i let it run 2,2 stable =)

Short feedback on my experience with mini 311 / 2go / initially coming with win7.
I purchased this net book for its screen and graphic chipset. I was quickly upset by its overhaul poor reactivity and speed, obviously limited by the cpu n270.
I tried win xp, Ubuntu (several light versions), different dual boots between those os.
I was so upset that I ended up leaving this computer alone...
Until I found here the possibility of hacking the bios to make real overclocking.
I used a virtual machine win xp under Ubuntu (virtualbox) to upgrade the bios with the dedicated tool (usb key at the boot method did not work for me). It worked!
Then I installed a brand new windows 8. Flawless installation.
I started to play with the performance parameters in the bios, trying to get at least 1.8ghz. I had random freezes or more often 'screen of'.
I noticed that my cpu was running far to high, so I decided to totally dismantle the net book to access to the heat sink and to the cpu/gpu.
I discovered that compaq used very poor thermal paste for both cpu and gpu. Such a shame!
I applied some Arctic cooler 5 thermal paste and assembled it back.
Result : my cpu is now so cool that I reach 2.2ghz stable at the first attempt. I even did not try to go higher.
My computer is now TOTALLY different. Smooth, nice to use, stable, fast!
Windows 8 + 2.2ghz overclocking are really doing miracles...
I use my mini 311 now, whereas I did not use it in 3 years!!
Thanks to all!

My bios settings are (hacked bios of course) :
3/2
512+254
(fsb @ 766, memory @ 1150)
System clock mode : auto
Memory timings : linked
All other parameters are normal.
Of course I changed the existing thermal paste which was totally useless.
So far I can't get a stable situation @ 2.4MHz : boot to windows is okay, but I get random crashes...
... But still trying !
