Noob OC question

I have my n270 at 2.1ghz with stock ram and it stays between 20c to 40C (40C while playing mw2)

Thats a pretty typical OC on stock RAM. I found the stability limit to be 177MHzX12 for 2118MHz(OCCT but not game tested). Everything changes when you up the installed memory.

I have the N280, anybody knows what's the best settings for the N280?

I'd recommend you look through the post titled "**Post Your 311 Overclocking Results Here**" Some N280 311 owners have had good success getting OCs around 2GHz even with 3GB of RAM.
