where is the best place to download CoreAVC mate? and is it free?
thanks
MPC HC will still display 1080p vids correctly. However, the image will be downscaled to the monitor's maximum resolution (720p). It's correct that the HDMI output supports 1080p. I've been doing this for weeks and it works great.Originally Posted by AndyA
The OP's issue is likely driver related. Try removing your old drivers and installing the latest non-beta drivers from nvidia. CoreAVC 2.0 is a good alternative, but it is not free like MPC HC.
Actually i don't think that my playback is perfect, its better with MPC but it still looks like there's a slight judder.
Right this is interesting, I've received my Windows 7 through the post today and have now got it installed. The other day I downloaded the T2 1080 HD video from the Microsoft site, the HD video runs much smoother under Windows 7 than it does in XP SP3, at least it does on my 311.
Can anyone confirm 1080p perfect playback?
I following the guide here for MPC Home Cinema, tweaked according to the guide
Installed Directx Feb 2010 redist
Installled Shockwave Flash 10.1 beta
Have latest chipset drivers 15.46
Have latest Graphics Drivers 196.34
ION Hacked
Running Xp and Win7
1080p video still stutters. Any further advice on this matter?
Thanks in advance

Running this from the 311s HD? There was some discussion of HD drivers causing pauses in windows and a fix.
Tearing? Try forcing VSync in the NVidia control panel
Try Windows Media Player in WIn 7 as that also supports GPU acceleration, see if the problem is seen with that
mini 311c (1010SA), ION (fixed LE), 3Gb ram (1066), OC 2.2GHz (unlinked), H15 Bios, Win7 & TrueCrypt
Alienware M11x, Core i7, OC 160, 4Gb ram, 500mb HDD, Win7-64bit & TryeCrypt
Asus 701, 2Gb ram
You can also use K-Lite. It's a bundle with all needed codecs/settings and MPC

For the record, 1080p video streaming from the web stutters, period, the 311 is not powerful enough for 1080p flash. 1080p mp4, and any other format plays fine once downloaded and ran from the HDD. Thats the end of that discussion.
1080p Youtube works silky smooth for me...Originally Posted by MiGs
