Yeah, well my mom says I'm cool!
oh yeah. my screen's scratched all to s#$t from the raised plastic below the keyboard. ANY dust or tiny debris rubs the screen immediately when lcd closed. i intend to hit up hp before too long as this is clearly a manufacturer defect. oh that mini 1000, it looks like the ferrari of netbooks, turns out its the hyundai.
my screen hasn't a mark on it. although i try to remember to insert the fabric protector when i stow it in my bag during travel, more often than not i forget.
I may have mine out, open, and stationary than most people though.
i love how clean you can keep this screen though, my Dell Mini 9, is a dust and cat fur magnet which gets stuck in the corners of the screen bezel - something the HP Mini doesn't have![]()
I'd say more like Alfa Romeo. Looks good, but gets you nowhereOriginally Posted by jeffrocc

Shaggymac sells GREAT chamois-like keyboard covers. I have been using them for the last year on each of may laptops, and not a scratch or smudge. The cover can also be used as a mousepad. GREAT product. I just ordered one for my Mini 1033CL which is arriving Tuesday.

Defintely worth it.
Also, the Shaggymac protectors work great as polishing cloths for your screen, as well.
alright, am I the first to say that my screen is just scrached to shit?
i mean, its not just where the touchpad hits the screen, too. i mean there are scratches all over the thing, and its not like i even treat it that badly. for the most part it sits in my room, i take it to class occasionally. thats it.
does anyone know any solutions eg. scratch removers, or maybe even just a replacement screen i can buy?
my mini was a refurb and didn't come with the grey cloth
Did you try cleaning it with a wet microfiber cloth?

I cut a couple small pieces of foam tape and put them in the corners of the palmrest. Works great, no scratches and doesnt interfere with closing the lid for hibernation.
