Has anyone else upgraded from XP to Win 7 on their 210 and had an issue with the F11 / Mute red light always staying on? The Mute button works when pressed (it will mute and unmute the sound), however the light never goes off when I unmute.

Some error with the driver maybe? My 210 came with Win7Starter preinstalled and the LED works as intended.

Could you tell me what device(s) you have listed under Sound, Video and Game Controllers in Device Manager? Mine's been detected as a generic High Definition Audio Device.
It shows only one device: IDT High Definition Audio CODEC

Yeah, I was able to get the IDC drivers loaded and the button "works," now. I say "works" because when the volume is muted, the light is off and when the volume is on the light is on, so it's reversed, heh.
Now I'm just trying to get QuickWeb loaded again. I've added the HP_TOOLS partition back and installed QuickWeb, but it won't boot the partition for some reason.
If you haven't solved it yet, or if anyone else has similar problems, go to Run and type diskmgmt.msc
When that comes up, right click the partition (HP_TOOLS in this case) and "Mark Partition As Active"
I think that might set you straight.
This only works if you have the HP Recovery partition...I do not anymore....So I'll wait for a firmware upgrade for it from HP. my guess it will be here by summer.
What we really need to do is promote netbooks. This will open the market for 'aftermarket' mods
Does this issue suggest that it's a bad idea to erase your hard drive and put a clean install of W7 on versus upgrading the existing installation and leaving the HP_tools partition in place?
QuickWeb is enabled and disabled in the BIOS. I upgraded to Win7 pro from XP and got quickweb back by enabling it in the BIOS at startup. It works just fine like it did in XP.
