Do 120GB 1.8" drives work with our BIOS?
So far I've had to replace the motherboard in my refurbed out-of-warranty 1035NR (after 6 months) and the hard drive is dead too...the machine "awoke" from a sleep in my bag and burnt it self up, I think.
Anyways, I'm considering going with A Samsung hs12yha 1.8" 5mm ZIF drive. I have two concerns though. It appears to only run at 3600 RPM (vs 4200 rpm for the 60 GB drive mine came with) and I'm afraid that the HP BIOS will reject it.
Can anyone share their experience with upgrading the hard drive size on their Mini 1000s? Please include your model number and hard drive size in your response so that we're comparing apples to apples.
