    Damn Small Linux?

Is anybody running this distro? I know it's meant for older devices and all, but it seems a good option for those of us with the 16GB SSD. If you considered it but picked another distro, what were your reasons? Would it be a horrible, horrible pick for someone with no prior experience with anything but Windows?

Ok, well, this might not go over well with anyone on the Linux forum, but I think Windows is still superior for normal needs. Sure Linux is far superior at some things that Windows, but Windows is more user-friendly (I have used almost every distro available on the mini, and guess what I'm using... Windows7!) Personally, I think that you should just move to the windows 7 RC, much faster than XP, unless you NEED Linux for a specific reason. That's my view, but yeah, DSL is one of the faster Linux distros out there.

If you happen to like Damn Small Linux, that's fine. But if you're just looking to not fill up the 16 GB SSD, pretty much any version of Linux can be slimmed down.

If you're using regular applications, you can probably slim down to 1.7 GB. If you're using extremely lightweight applications (the kind that come with DSL by default), you can get down to less than 1 GB probably.
