I went for this deal just before it was posted. Quidco cash back tracks at £21.52, effectively reducing the cost to £247.58 assuming it goes through OK.

This deal gets you the WWAN / 3G model which is a nice bonus.

Yeah I'm annoyed myself as ordered mine not long ago and thought £330 was a good price and I really wanted the 3g one which was in short supply at the time and had to wait a few weeks. Still waiting for my quidco enquiry to be sorted which will ease the burden anyway.

I have had mine now for almost two months, that would be three by the time I would get one ordered from HP. So you pays your money then you enjoys it... you will always be disappointed if you keep comparing what you bought & paid. Also there will always be that extra tempting feature to hold out for. But that's really the fun of tracking and buying gadgets

well iv had some bad luck today... but it could be counted as good luck too...

I placed an order for the compaq 311 on the 17th... and only until today was I emailed telling me the order was rejected (even though iv been charged) the problem was my bank... they didnt respond to HP when trying to do a security check... hence the order being canned..


So now I await recieving me £296 back into my account... then i will re attempt an order but get the one mentioned in this thread instead!

I think this is still valid - I've just managed to buy one using the VCCODEHP for £269.10 with an integrated 3G module. I also went through quidco which should give me ~8% cashback!
