    Product description
    HP Mini 1035NR 10.2" Netbook - Black
    Features

Ultra-portable: The HP Mini 1035NR netbook weighs in at just 2.4 pounds and is ready to travel. This model features the Intel Atom processor to give you enough computing power to surf the Web, takes notes in class and enjoy music or an occasional movie. This netbook is easy to carry in a purse or backpack so you can enjoy the Internet without having to haul a heavy, full-size laptop around.

Intel Atom processor: This model features the 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor. This small, low-power processor is efficient and secure. It's designed to extend the digital lifestyle by combining performance with low-power consumption and efficient heat dissipation.

    * This netbook features 1GB of DDR2 system memory—enough to handle everyday computing needs like surfing the Web, typing documents or executing simple programs.

    * Data travels to the processor along the frontside bus. The faster data travels, the faster everything works. This 533MHz frontside bus keeps data moving quickly.

    * Processors search for the same data over and over. L2 caches keep this data neat, organized, and nearby so it can be retrieved more quickly. This 512KB cache gives the processor a boost.

Hard drive: This hard drive features a 60GB capacity—enough storage space for the average user. This drive’s data disks spin at 4200rpm. The faster they spin, the faster the data is read and written.

Versatile wireless: Built-in 802.11bg wireless LAN lets you connect in almost any airport lounge, café or public hotspot.

Built-in Bluetooth: Enjoy easy communication with PDAs and other Bluetooth-enabled devices with the integrated stereo A2DP Bluetooth.

    10.2" display: This netbook features a 10.2" display with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution.

Media card reader: Seamlessly transfer data and images. The media card reader is compatible with MultiMediaCards and Secure Digital cards.

Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition with SP3: This netbook runs Windows XP Home Edition. Windows XP works smoothly with most programs and takes up very little of your netbook's valuable memory.

Built-in camera/mic: Stay connected to family, friends or business associates wherever you go. Video chatting face-to-face is easy with the built-in camera and microphone.

    Software bundle:
Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 3

Re: Circuit City Now carries Hp Mini 1035NR

I bought my 1035NR at CircuitCity, not too bad of a deal at $449 with no shipping
Much easier than waiting 3-4 days for it to ship and having to be home to sign for it.

"Circuit City will begin liquidation on Saturday"

ankrupt electronics retailer Circuit City Stores said on Friday it will liquidate its assets and shutter hundreds of stores after failing to reach a deal to sell the company.

Circuit City is one of the largest retail bankruptcies seen in the current U.S. recession and its demise paves the way for larger rival Best Buy Inc to boost sales and gain clout with suppliers as the leading specialty electronics retailer.

Do you think the mini 1000 will be much cheaper since they are going out of business?

No. Liquidation sales are rarely better than standard sale pricing. When they are, it's only a marginal improvement. Consumerist.com has done a piece or two on liquidation sales, and the two-word summary is "they suck".

I don't know, I went by Circuit City today. 10% off all laptops. That puts the 1035NR down to $405. Not great but I wouldn't say it sucks.

$405 is cheaper than I paid, and I believe that it would be the cheapest place to get it

I saw the 1035 NR for $380 at my local ccity. Kinda bummed that I spent $450 on it like two weeks ago.
Either way it has totally been worth it
