Hi guys. First off, I want to give incredible thanks to this forum for helping guide me to installing the Mac OS in my HP Mini 1000.
The one problem I had was that even if I set my Energy Saver settings to never power off or put the display to sleep, the system just ignored my settings and proceeded to turn off the display, or go to screensaver, or go to sleep according to the deafult settings. Drove me nuts.
I'm not sure if this is a common problem, but I found a simple hack solution that I don't believe I saw posted yet. I found this freeware app called Caffeine which puts an icon up in the menu bar. You click it, and it simply keeps the computer active, preventing it from going to screensaver, sleep, etc...

Can't wait for more updates to other fixes still lingering, but the minor faults I come upon every once in a while so far are no biggies.
