I have 110-1030NR and I've gotten relatively far along: a working 10.6.0 installation with sound and GMA 950 drivers. I installed a recent wired Ethernet driver which is recognized but not working. I installed a webcam kext, and the cam light lights up but I get no image. And no sleep and no wi/fi (I understand I'm going to have to switch the wifi card).
But at this point, I'm beginning to wonder if I should just punt and try another netbook.
Okay, enough general complaining.
Here's a specific one related to booting. I need to boot off my NetBookMaker USB drive to select my hard disk partition for a successful boot. Everytime I use a hard disk bootloader (I tried netbookinstaller and myhack), the kernel immediately panics. But everything is fine when I select the same partition from the USB boot.
And, I have a Windows 7 partition that now I can't boot off.
I'm rather new to this, and am obviously not understanding the nuances of the bootup process. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
