I have a problem with bluetooth on my mini 210.
I just bought a 210-1099 mini (the Vivienne Tam edition). I intend to install Mac OS on it, or maybe Kubuntu (not sure which yet), but for the time being it's running the stock Windows 7 Home premium edition and Kubuntu 10.04 in wubi. There is a pre-installed bluetooth module.
I can't get the computer to see my iphone (for future tethering). Wether in windows or Kubuntu, when I activate bluetooth, the computer will pick up neighbouring computers and phones, but neither of my 2 iphones (V1 running 3.1.2 and 3G running iOS 4). They just don't show up in the list of available devices. My other computer (Hackintoshed sony vaio-P), in the exact same location (both computers are sitting side by side) see the phones with no trouble and can pair with them.
I know that if I hackintosh the mini 210 bluetooth will be gone anyway and I'll have to use an external adapter, but I was hoping in Kubuntu I could use the included module. I just want to be sure beforehand that everything is fine with the computer, otherwise I'll return it and get a new one.
Has anyone ever had such an issue ? Can someone with a bluetooth-equipped mini 210 tell me if the computer sees their iphone as an available device ? Could this be a protocol issue (and how could I change that) ? I googled it, but couldn't find an answer.
Thank you in advance
