    Bluetooth Headset Blues

My Bluetooth headset (a Motorola S9) works perfectly with my cellphone, both as a hands-free device and as a streaming stereo headset. I know it works, period.

But with my 2140, performance is abysmal. Dropouts are frequent, long and intolerable. Ive gone back to using standard headphones.

The only change to my mini was to bump XP from SP2 to SP3.

I assume Ive run in to the standard "Well, you know, it's not the most powerful machine out there," blues.

So... any ideas out there on tweaking bluetooth, to assign it a higher priority whenever using the streaming stereo profile? Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Ed,

Sorry but I have no astounding ideas but thought I'd let you know that my 2140 SD XPSP3 2GB and AutoRokker S9HD is presently working just fine with WinAmp and both on HDD Mp3's and wit Shoutcast Kickin Country radio using the WIFI connction on my Qwest Actiontec router. The radio did have one drop momentarily but I attribute that to WIFI not the BT. I noted that the 2140 BT routines separates the handsfree and Audio features where the HTC Kaiser TYTNII WM6.1 automagically pairs both features. I'm not sure if this is expected on the HP BT software, haven't had time to investigate further. Suggest you may want to search for other BT threads here or perhaps someone else recalls. I remember downloading a BT update from the HP site but can't remember if it was for the 2140 or the 1K....more I think about it that was the 1K. Just had 2 more WIFI "gaps" as I type this. Sorry this isn't the revelation you hoped for But.
