About LinkBacksI ordered a custom configured 5101 last week from HP and my order is still in "admin" status. The website said it would ship on August 5th, which is looking less likely by the day. Has anybody else ordered?

Have they missed the ship date? I ordered a spare battery with mine and they already shipped that out on Tuesday! I'll have the battery weeks before the mini at this rate.
Yeah, they've missed it twice now. The website originally quoted the 5th, then the people at the 800 number started saying the 6th a few days ago and yesterday the 6th they told me the 7th. So hopefully it ships today!

I also ordered from HP. It seems like its supposed to ship this week. I am having second thoughts on purchasing the 5101. Its a lot of money for a regular netbook. Ok so its got a few extra features. Anyone else? what are the hacks and mods I can do to the 5101 when i get it? There doesnt seem to be a lot of discussion abt it.

Mine actually arrived yesterday, only a day later than they said it would get here. I have to say this little thing is great! I haven't found one thing I don't like about it yet. The high resolution screen is beautiful and the thing overall is pretty peppy for a netbook.
You should call the HP small business 800 # and get them to apply the 12% coupon to your order. I received an $80 credit after the machine shipped.
I actually did get a 60 dollar credit and my mini came today. im reinstalling xp i may install win 7 at a later time. of course i already put in 2gb of memory. any other ideas how i can mod or tweak this system? there are not a lot of forums on he 5101

My estimated ship date was today but seeing as they haven't built it yet...
The wait is killing me!
I got the HD screen, 1gb memory (upgraded myself), 160gig harddrive, Intel wireless card and 6 cell battery.
For what it's worth, their website status thing sucks. Mine still showed that it hadn't built even after it shipped. Call this number ,800-888-0292 option 4, and ask them for a status update (assuming you're in the US). The people at that line were nice and fairly helpful.
