2 gig Memory upgrade running HOT!

    sup everyone,

I was wondering if anyone else is having a heat issue after upgrading the memory in a hp mini 1035nr?
    I have popped in a transcend 2gb 800mhz http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820208407
yes i know it will clock down to proper speed. anyway this netbook runs pretty cool to the touch except the memory runs extremely hot! The system seems to run just fine but even the memory cover is very hot to the touch. Is the a common issue or is it just me? speed fan shows some good #s hdd0-37 temp1-33 core0-36 core1-36
I dont see a temp for memory but I can bet its running damn near 50+ easily

word its kinda got me stumped because the stock memory is pc6400 also...
the only thing i can think of is either the memory is bad or because its got more memory chips on it its running x2 as hot, or its getting more voltage then it should be but theirs no way to adjust the voltage...

I've tried 533-1Gb w/ 8 chips, 667-1GB w/ 8 and 16 chips, 888-1Gb w/ 16 chips..... they all running hot to a point where the Memory Door seems to start melting down....

yeah thats insane! cuz it feels the same way to me lol
I put in the original memory it came with and it only feels warm to the touch...
go figure  i think the memory is getting over volted some how but ill need to use more probing software seeing they the bios doesn't show anything... I wonder if someone had modded the bios already to open all the settings cuz I'm sure that would help

Interesting. I haven't really noticed any difference in hear since I upgraded my memory, although the RAM door has seemed to have been the warmest spot on the machine since the day I bought it. I replaced my original 512MB stick (ProMOS DDR2 667 CL5) with a 2GB stick (Crucial DDR2 667 CL5) and both run at the same frequency (533MHz) and voltage (about 1.8V) according to CPU-Z.
