    [110-1025dx] WiFi working?

Is the wifi working on Mini 110-1025dx?
I can't get it to work, the switch does nothing, and I came upon a topic at insanelyMac, that says that
The ethernet hardware is the new Atheros low-voltage adapter, for which there no kexts or no work arounds. The Wifi is a compatable Broadcom mini-PCIe, but the PCIe hub for the Wifi runs through the ethernet controller. Until there is a kext or patch for the ethernet adapter, there is no way of getting either or both adapters to work.
Does that mean that the WiFi in 1025dx is not working at this moment with Mac OS X?

As stated in the Compatibility thread, I'm in the same boat with my Mini 110c-1010SD.

In Linux the Broadcom BCM4313 wifi card pops by in the hardware list. Normally that card ought to work under OS X (it works under linux and windows, so it's not broken), so unless that claim is guesswork ...we're stuck with USB wifi sticks for connectivity for now

Not at all - unless youre 1025 has some weird config, mine works fine. I had to fuss with it on a new install today, but I got it working. From what I can tell, the switch really does nothing, more of a software thing than anything. The kext included in the iDeneb guides will work fine for the wireless adapter.

Is the airport icon showing up but reporting that it is turned off, or is it saying there are no wireless adapters at all? Ethernet still will not work, but wireless I am using right now.

If OS X is saying the adapter is installed, try reinstalling the kext with OSXTools and then reboot. Don't touch the switch or repair permissions. It seemed mine only started working once I didn't repair after the kext reinstall. Try that and see how it goes.

I tried deleteing and reinstalling AppleAirPortBrcm43xx.kext and reinstalling it. No dice:

No AirPort icon, nothing shows up Network Preferences and nothing in the System Profiler.

thats because that is the wrong one. the compaq listed above does not have the same wireless adapter.

download the kexts listed in BPLs tutorial and install them using OSX86 tools. i believe the right one is the IO80211family.kext.

    Re: [110-1025dx] WiFi working?

I got it to work by installing iDeneb 1.3.
With iAtkos 7 and the same kexts I couldn't get the WiFi to work, but with iDeneb there was no problem.
Obviously the issue is not with the pci hub for the wifi card, but with something in the 10.5.7 install of iAtkoa (probably the Airport Upgrade)

Good news! Just for verification: you are referring to the Broadcom 43xx kexts or others?

I am refering to a .zip with kexts for the audio, wifi, etc. I got it from one of the tutorials.
    Mirrored here: http://idisk.hackintosh.me/moridinbg/Pu ... 0Files.zip

Today I GOT IT WORKING WITH iAtkos 7. I just installed it without selecting the Broadcom WiFi driver in Customize and then installed teh kexts from the zip (without the GMA ones).

    Re: [110-1025dx] WiFi working?

    Hi all,
I'm desperate to know what anyone with a 110-1025dx has done to get their wireless working. I have tried both iAtkos 1.5.7 and iDeneb 1.5.5. They both install pretty much fine but ethernet and wireless don't work. When I used the iDeneb tools to install kexts, OSX said it detected a new network device, and my wifi light turned red (later I turned it back on). But no success -- the network preferences claims there is an Airport but it is not turned on, and pressing "Turn Airport On" does nothing. This is the same situation I had with iAtkos. I tried patching with the broadcom_enabler.sh, no luck. *Then* I modified the kext's Info.plist as described here:

    viewtopic.php?f=17&t=182&start=0

and still no change. Can anyone please help??

I got it working *briefly*, and I have no idea how. The wifi light turned red while OSX was booting, and the system reported the airport as on and everything worked fine. Then I installed graphics drivers from the iAtkos graphic driver package (although I'm using iDeneb 1.5.5). Rebooted, graphics worked fine, wireless light was back to blue and not working. Hasn't worked since. Perhaps rebuilding the boot cache (when I installed graphics drivers) killed the wifi?
